The Message of Woza Join Us (by the Bhambayi Project):
Every one of us can ignite hope. No matter how young we are or how little we think we have, we can change the world for good. Why don’t you come and join us?
Iba ushintsho. Be the change.
This message is captured in the music video which opens with a single child in the community of Bhambayi inviting others to join the change. As the video progresses you will watch this message of hope spread within the community and then around Durban, into South Africa, and how much further it spreads is up to you…
The song’s message of hope is that much more powerful coming from a disadvantaged community in KZN struggling with desperate realities, exacerbated by Covid, the July unrest and the recent floods.
We want every individual in KZN, in South Africa, and even the world to know their worth and their potential to bring change for good.
Why don’t you join the hope revolution?
The Link below is a tutorial to learn the dance…have fun learning this with your friends, family & colleagues. Please send us your videos of you doing the dance to this number: 061 817-5575

“KEEP ENCOURAGING BECAUSE YOUR WORDS MAY BE PILLARS OF STRENGTH TO SOMEONE WHO IS PULLING THEMSELVES UP TO STAND AGAIN.”

Challenge 2
IBA USHINTSHO. BE THE CHANGE.
There are many ways to be the change. We would like to offer a different angle:
Heroes make heroes.
The most powerful hero is not the one who is widely acclaimed for their good deeds, but the one that builds courage in another, even when unseen.
This Mandela Day, instead of looking to be the hero, why don’t you ‘be the change’ by empowering someone else to be the hero? Here is how you might do that:
Think about someone you know who is often ‘invisible’ to others or seen as ‘less than’. Do you also see them that way? Spend time thinking about their strengths and their worth.
Everyone has a story- find out theirs. Also, find out what they love doing. Most importantly, listen.
Encourage them (plant courage in them) to see their own potential and giftings and how they can make a difference in the world. This may even mean helping them get training or a job in something that they love doing.

“A GOOD WAY TO START BEING THE CHANGE IS BY WALKING IN ANOTHER’S SHOES, OR, RATHER, EATING FROM ANOTHER’S POT!”
